It's suits me to a T!
National Quilting Day is 3/19. I have no real sewing plans. I'll be running around with the kids all day Saturday.
Why is that everything is scheduled on the same day? The EHS baseball team is playing at Coors Field this Saturday at 12. It's a free event. (Probably not so free after one pays for all the goodies a person would justify in getting since entry is free.)
A has swimming lessons in the morning which conflicts with S's first soccer game which conflicts with Z's climbing with scouts.
Things are so busy I'm wishing C could drive. Now that's CRAZY!
Speaking of C--her team won their first soccer game Monday. I missed the first half because I was at S's soccer practice. They are 1-2. They play again Friday night.
I bought the batting for the purple quilt yesterday. I really should write my needs down before I shop. I ended up buying way too much batting because I got confused by the measurements. I like buying batting from a roll. I also like the 80-20 so I've been getting my batting from The Wooden Spools. The purple quilt finishes 48x60 and I bought 2yds 72" of the 96" batting. Duh! I only really need 1.5yds.
I'm only half way done piecing the backing. It irks me that I don't just get it done! If I did, then I'd have to get going on the quilting.
it is SO much MORE FUN to shop UNPREPARED, though, isn't it?!? now you'll have 1/2 yard of batting that isn't big enough for anything except a table runner - and then you'll have to make a table runner (or two) and you won't have enough backing ... or thread .. or some other dang thing!!!
ReplyDeleteYou work, have kids and quilt as well. I'm very impressed!
