Purpleness Personified

All the rows are sewed together so the top is finished?!

I was working from this Atkinson Designs' pattern from Kansas City Scrapbook.

I would have been better served to use very light purples for the Snowball blocks instead of the paisley fabric to have my quilt look like the book quilt.  I always have to be different, though.  The Bow Tie border is my own creation....hmmmmm.

Next month's....ooops--March's---color is brown.  I promised A a puppy quilt.  He picked out brown fabric out of my stash last night.  I have the pattern....which I've already started to change.  (The pattern is copyright 2003 and it shows.  All the diagrams are hand drawn and the instructions are really bad.  I made M read them and he's confused, too.  Granted, he's not a quilter.  Still he did notice an error in labeling the puppies in part of the instructions and diagrams.)  I don't want to applique those circles so I've created a square/diamond block in EQ7 or I might paper piece or applique paw prints.

Java House Quilts, Ruff Around the Edges

I saw the cutest fabric with dog words at the store, but I resisted....for now.

Pound Hounds, Sue Marsh for RJR

I've also fallen in love with this quilt.  I want to make a quilt for myself using these fabrics as background:

Working title is "It's a Skream!"
