Turd Thursday

I'm just kidding......  maybe.

I was thinking of joining the Totally Tuesday, Wayback Wednesday/Wordless Wednesday (could never happen)/WIP Wednesday, etc crowd with my very own day.  I even thought of making a button to share with code and everything.

I don't think Turd Tuesday or Turd Thursday would take off, though.

I just got back from spending the day out with kids and friends.  We went to see Gnomeo and Juliet.  I rarely get to see a movie in the theaters and having to spend $36.00 (really rather reasonable in this day and age of movie ticket prices) was a shame.  We went to lunch at Colore....another $60 there with tip, but we brought half our food home.  (This amount included Z's carrot cake he brought home, too.)  Off to Yogurt Land for another $20.  This is all for six people, but still an expensive day out.  I am justifying the day since it's really the only treat I've given the kids in awhile except for letting them get two On Demand movies this week while on spring break.

I finished sewing the middle part of the puppy quilt.  I would have been done sooner, but as I was about to sew the last two rows on, I realized that one of the blocks was sewn the wrong way--my specialty--and so I had to fix it.  I was up until 1 a.m. doing unsewing, resewing, and finishing the section.  I could have left the block the way it was, but I can't stand to leave a mistake if I can easily fix it.  I guess I'll never fit in with the crowd that thinks better done than perfect right.

I still need to measure the section and then cut it down.  The unattached block in the corner is just that.  It will be appliqued in a dog's mouth.
